Venezuela authorizes Starlink to operate nationwide
Venezuela's government authorized SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service to operate in the country, and the telecom regulator granted a general license and seven Ku-band concessions.

Venezuela's interim President Delcy Rodriguez authorized Starlink to operate in the country as part of an agreement with SpaceX, the government said on October 9, according to CNA, which carried a Reuters report.
TeslaNorth reported that Venezuela's telecom regulator, Conatel, said its board approved a general license and seven Ku-band spectrum concessions for SpaceX's local entity, authorizing Starlink internet service throughout the country.
According to TeslaNorth, Conatel linked the approval to temporary permits issued after a major earthquake on June 24, 2026, damaged networks in La Guaira state. The regulator did not say when sign-ups would start or what service would cost.
